Anja is a collaboration pulling together forms of divine wild creation: Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus. Yeast and bacteria. They take us on a journey, as humans, from the earth to the heavens. From the earth to the heavens, energy broken down and laid back to the ground, ready for our next life.
Here they work in unison to primary ferment in oak barrels sourced from the remotes of Burgundy. Blueberry and juniper, fruits representational of the third chakra were crushed and added into the process at different stages.
The beer was then aged for nine months in the wood, blended and bottled.
Anja is fluid. Constantly changing. Morphing and evolving. Explore the depths of the flavour and aromas. Look beyond the beer.
Drink fresh or age.

330ml bottle, shared with Blackhaddock & Simon F. Pours hazy red with a pinky head. Yeast, funk and slightly thorny brett but very little blueberries detected by me. Some burgundy oak but generally very light. Not hitting the high notes this.

9th Nov 2015: bottle shared between three as we did ’The Rainbow Project 2015’. Poured with a red hue look and a pink topping. Sour Blueberries dominated the aroma and taste, tart and farmyard like flavours. Not really my thing, but interesting.
