Brewed with 2-Row American Barley and jammed packed with as much Citra, Ekuanot, and Simcoe hops we could get our hands on, The Shape of Hops to Come is an 8.5% ABV American West Coast-style Imperial IPA that’s got a ton of bitterness along with juicy, dank, resiny pine-like and citrus forward hop character that is worthy of its name.

16 oz can at Taproom on 19th. Clear Amber pour, small chunky head. Hoppy aroma, mild dank notes, fruity. Taste brings the hops up front, sharp and biting, some caramel malts peeking through. A hint of sweet underneath all of that bitterness too. Pretty nice consistency

Aromas are not overly complex mainly resin Hops and a little caramel malt. Flavors are similar to nose again resin hops dominating with a little Citrus in there mostly bitter with a bit of sweet soft carbonation so not much Tang long bitter finish.

16 oz can. Deep golden color, full lasting white head. Aroma is grapefruit, bolder pine, and white bread. Maybe citrus. Caramel malt / crystal malt backbone makes this feel outdated. Lots of pine with traces of alcohol.
I looked on Untappd to see scores on this to make an educated guess on buying this. Wow, what a mistake. This is average at best. Caramel and hot booze diminished my experience.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a vibrant orange color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was rough.and gritty with piney and floral hops. The flavor was bitter and somewhat rough with piney, earthy, floral and perfumey hops and an undertone of tobacco. Very long piney and earthy finish. Moderately full bodied. Meh.

From my father: pours clear copper with a white head. Aroma is pine and plenty grapefruit. Taste is somewhat bitter, actually pretty bitter with a lingering aftertaste. Pretty good.

Draught. Hazy golden with foamy off-white head, citrus peel aroma, high carbonation, bitter tangerine peel taste with some mango flavor, thin body, long bitter finish. Well covered alcohol content.

Can shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a clear yellow gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of resin and pine with grapefruit and grains supporting. Flavor has a good amount of pine, bread and onion with some resin underlying.
