Clean gold with a medium white head. Aroma of fruity malt. Flavour is soft fruits, sweet and juicy, very tasty but hard to classify this beer as it sits between a few styles.

27/1/2023. Cask at the 14th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours clear bright gold with a small frothy white head. Good looking pour. Aroma is tropical, fruity, hoppy, malt, citrus, grapefruit, straw. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation. Pretty decent.

Cask at Old Dolphin, Derby. Pours golden amber with minimal white head and good lacing. Floral hops are the mainstay of the aroma, plus some hints of caramel. Hops again to the fore in the mouth – somewhere between floral and traditional bitter. Hints of autumn fruits too. Slightly sweet, but with hints of sulphur as well and a malt / biscuit undertow. Finish is dry and bitter. This is a decent beer..

500ml bottle. Clear dark gold, small white head, good retention. Aroma of malts, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon. Taste is big on biscuit malts, then hoppy grapefruit, orange, lemon, zesty citrus peel, a little resinous. Mouthfeel is a little cloying but a nice soft carbonation. Overall a decent old school attempt at an IPA using American hops.

Cask at the Vat & Fiddle, Nottingham on 28th September 2018. Clear amber with shallow white foam and pattern lacing. Malty aroma with biscuit malts. Sweet fruits and biscuit malts in-mouth and a fruity finish. Zingy mouthfeel and a medium body. Works better as a good English premium ale, rather than an APA

Cask, half-pint at Royal Oak. Nitro creamy white head. Clear late straw coloured body, clingy lacing. Flora hops on the nose, mid-sweet. Rather succulent orange fruity taste on a backbone of moderate malty sweetness. Bittersweet end. medium bodied. Quite pleased with this one. (Halifax 03.07.2018).

Handpull cask at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Light to mid-golden, clear with very little head. Light aroma of caramel and sulphur. Bittersweet taste with notable astringency. A simple strong bitter... like many Castle Rock beers, there's too much sulphur for me.
