The history of Braggot dates back centuries in northern Europe. Braggots are meads made with malted barley in addition to the honey. Our Braggot won a Bronze medal at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival. Brewed with wildflower honey and rich, dark specialty malts, the final product is akin to a Scottish Ale, with an added earthy depth and sweetness. Vinous notes combine with earthy flavors and a touch of toffee and biscuit character with just a hint of alcohol warmth. This is a complex sipper sure to warm even the coldest nights.

Draught @ CBC2013. Pours hazy amber with a creamy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with honey, sweet dark bread, cookies, caramel, hay, wood and hints of pine cones. Taste is sweet, tiny sour and malty with honey, sweet dark bread, golden syrup, hay, grapes, plums, wood, cereal and alcohol. Mouthfeel is round, tiny fruity tart, very tiny dry and medium bodied. Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Please correct me if its not this one. Frothy white fair fully deminishing head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average vinius moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Sample at CBC 2013, Saturday. Dark brown with a small head. Rather sweet aroma and taste of dried fruit, light malt, some alcohol and honey. A nice one.

Draught at CBC 2013 cons 2013-05-04 Cophenhagen AR: tutti frutti, (according to the brewer it is the spring nectar from cheerry and apple blossom that brings out the fruitiness), spring flowers, wee honey AP: amber, wee head F: honey, warming feeling, dry but very sweet

Fat på CBC 2013. Min första mjöd och därför svsår att jämföra med andra. Söt och stark. Mycket torkad frukt som fikon och russin och mycket honung och viss alkohol. Kan tänka mig den som perfekt till en lagrad ost. Lite söt för sig själv.

Draught. Hazy copper liquid with huge off-white head. Aroma of toffee, honey, caramel, chocolate, grass, biscuit and bread. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of grain, honey, booze and honey. Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
