It’s fiercly bitter thanks to generous amounts of zeus, cascade and amarillo hops. But the bitterness is balanced by a large amber red body built by pilsener, caramel and münchener malts. The result is a beer that is interesting, but won’t wear out your taste buds. That’s ”sessionability”.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 5 Oct 2012) Copper colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty nose with notes of toast, dried fruit and boiled vegetables. Malty, slightly fruity taste with toast, crisp-bread and a touch of citrus. Medium body, with some malt sweetness. Drinkable, but hardly exciting.

33 cl can from Systembolaget Avenyn, Göteborg. Sampled on October 30, 2012. BB 05 MAY 2013.Awesome graphic on the can, they’ve really done a great job on the design, I’d suspect some might misstake this for a US craft canned beer.Clear copper color, big lasting off-white head. Sweet, malty, vegetable, cheese scent. Where’s the hops gone? Malty, sweet, bland taste. Really? Where’s the hops mentioned on the can? Zeus, Cascade and Amarillo? Where?Medium to medium thin mouthfeel, spritzy from the co2. Low bitterness. Mineral and sort of grainy aftertaste. So, what’s good about this? Well the design. That they put style, malts and hops on the can as info. That it looks cool. What’s bad and/or boring about this? Most everything other than the can itself...This could be any old macro boring lager from Carlsberg, had I tried this at a blind tasting and then to pair it up with cans and bottles after, would not have made this guess. Too bad, better luck next time. But hey, awesome job on writing ingredients for us! More brewers should do this!Oh yeah, I find this beer boring and fairly pointless...

Can. Pours clear with a white, ethereal head. Golden colour. Unpretentious, slightly grassy aroma. Richly carbonated, slightly bitter taste. Nothing special. Good as an interlude during an intense IPA session.

Can, 4.8%. Weak ashtray aroma. Clear greyish amber colour. Very small plasticky white head. The flavour is citric with a hint of grassy hop, but mostly rough adjunct flavour.

Light amber, small head. Aroma of honey and grass. Dry taste, short. Had hoped for more of the Amarillo and Cascade hops according to the ingredient list, hardly noticable.

Can from Systembolaget. Pours dark amber with a rather creamy white head. Aroma of caramell, sweet vegitables and a hint of hops. Thin sweet sweet brew with taste of vegitables, hint of burnt bread. More of a sweet easter europe brew than a nice US one that Carlsberg aimed for. Unfortunatley the can looks good so it will probably be a hit anyawy...
