Bottle shared at The Cad’s 10 year get together. Thanks to Leighton. 29/03/2015. Reddy orange coloured pour with a lasting off cream head. Aroma is peach nutty malts, biscuity, hint of smoke, semi sweet on the nose. Flavour is composed of nutty malts, oak, vanilla, caramel and pecan, some raisin, hot alcohol. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation. A lot better than the previous BA shit Camden produced.

Bottle at The Cad’s 10yr Shindig thanks to Leighton. It pours cloudy brown with a decent off-white head. The nose is soft, pretty sweet, caramel, dried fruits, candied peel, cola, brown sugar and vanilla. The taste is bitter-sweet, sticky, toasty, earth, caramel, candy, wood, cola, touch of cardboard and vanilla with a sweetish finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. I’m not huge on the style, but this ain’t bad.

Bottle at the Cads 10th Anniversary bash, thanks to Leighton, 29/03/15. Chestnut brown with a well appointed beige covering. Nose is bit on bourbon, wooded notes, toffee fudge, dark fruit resonance. Taste comprises toffee, spice, dark fruit peel, dates, bourbon soaked oak. Medium + body, fairly light and airy for the ABV, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid BA bock, all comes together well.

Almost opaque dark amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a little cream. Trace of wood. Nice mellow bourbon, slightly fruity. Super mild barrel induced vanilla. Touch of bubblegum esters. Smooth semi dry finish,. Not much else going on but I was right in the mood for something like this and it went down well. Big thanks to Phil at Beermerchants for sourcing a bottle after they ran out. Cheers Phil!
