De Prael,, Amsterdam. Keg. Shared with Yespr and Joergen. Very hazy gold beer with a small white head. Light palate, crisp and dry. Semi sweet malts with a touch of German nuttyness and a little floral vibe. Very mellow citrus. Light dry finish, minerally.

Bottled. Slight hazy orange copper color, medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, light spicy, soft grassy hop, bit burnt, some strange meat broth. Very bitter in taste, hint of caramel. Funny mistake.

330ml bottle. Hazy reddish amber colour with huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Slightly toasty malt aroma, grassy hoppy overtones with a minimally spicy touch of hay. Taste is minimally herbal and grassy hoppy, dry, minimally roasty and spicy malty background. Simple but good, very drinkable.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy dark amber-brown colour, creamy off-white head. Aroma of buttery malts, toffee, walnuts, light-sweet fruits. Flavour is malty, brown malts, light buttery, toffee, bitter nuts, light fruity, light floral, decent bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied, nice carbonation. Quite true to style imo.

On tap @ In De Wildeman (displayed as 4.7%). Reddish brown color, hazy. Rocky, off white head. Aroma’s: in the nose straw/hay, bitterhops; retronasal there’s also caramel, earthy bitterness, some roasted malt. Flavor is medium bitter with notes of caramel. Light bodied, but not too thin. Finishes with roasted malts and a firm bitterness. Pretty good representation of the (more assertive examples of the) style and darn tasty!
