Thank you! Sampled 375 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Very dark brown to black, mocha bubbles. Nose is warming, lots of spirit, big booze with light vanish, mocha, chocolate syrup, powerful,… Taste is gorgeous, coconut, raisin, dates, sugar, candy, marzipan, huge vanilla from the oak, sugar, sweet dough,… Beautiful oxidation, this is everything an aged Belgian wants to become when it grows up. Body is touch thinned & oxidized. A truly rare & beautiful example of everything gone right in an aged beer of this kind. Lovely.

Bottle, bought at Bierkompass in 2014. Dark brownish/red with a small head. Quite a lot of cocoa both in the aroma and taste. Also some chocolate and oak. Almost full body and with a low carbonation. A smooth and pleasant one.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. 2012 version. Clear very dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, coconut, wood and cognac. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Smooth and soft. A bit of a Bounty bar, which isn’t a bad thing. 121114
