Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

11/12/12/13/12/12

0.65l bottle. Pours a deep brown, near black body with a quickly fading small bubbly tanned head. Aroma is sweet and roasty, wet dog, vanilla, some coffee, thin espresso and chocolate malts. Body is really thick and chewy, full-bodied and perfectly medium carbonated. Tastes are quite a kick in the face with lots of espresso and roasted malts. Also notes of alcohol, slightly oaky, hints of sour black currants, ashy and then some more vanilla. Hopy and light bitter ending with a longlasting chocolate aftertaste.

Although Im getting a little tired of the imperial beers, most of the time i just want something with good flavor and not a huge hop bomb or high abv, but this was a nice, very easy to drink, imperial stout. the coffee is present but not completely overbearing, just adds to the roasted malts more than dominating the flavor, very enjoyable.

Chocolate and coffee nose, with raisin accents, not really strong. Garnet black, thin tan head. Coffee and raisins flavor. Plum skin finish. Medium body, easily drinkable. Creamy mouthfeel, not heavy. Very tastefully done. More dark fruit than coffee, but still a nice impy. Not a chore in the least.

Pored into a snifter. Very nice black pour with a tan head. The aroma is coffee, chocolate, and booze. The flavor is similar. Not for the timid and meant to be sipped. Drink this one at room temperature. I would drink this one on a cold winters night for best results.
