Taster at the brewery shared with Farees. Pours a clear amber with white head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malt, some diacetil. Similar taste. Not bad.

Copper with a white head. Grain and sweet caramel. Light mildly earthy hops. Not a lot going on. Not bad but forgettable.

Golden/brown, toasty, hint of caramel, maybe toffee. Ok amber. It’s not got enough hop, which allows the caramel to show through a lot. That makes it more akin to one of the industrial alts, rather than one of the classic examples. And I have to admit, I am comparing it a little bit to the Steel & Oak Alt, which I had the night before and liked better.

On tap at Doan's, pours a clear cherry red with a small beige head. Nose is quite weak, with lightly toasted bready malt, not a whole lot else. Flavour is clean enough, but really weak and bland, with dry lightly toasted malt characterizing this. Nothing offensive but it's really boring even for the style. Needs some amping up.

Draught at the brewery
Beautiful dark amber color, clean, with small head. It’s a Vienna, dry, quite weak, with a light nutty touch but completely missing the malt depth of Altbiers, and with a short empty final.
It’s clean, and not flawed, drinkable beer, just don’t expect a real Altbier.
