Bottle thanks to Countbeer !, Best before date was May 2013... dark cloudy beer with a medium white head, aroma is strangely enough some liquorice, a trace of hops, taste is buttery and slightly bitter, don’t kow if this was supposed to taste like this but it was drinkable.

Quite similar to the normal Nobel, just with a slightly different touch due to the Bramling hops.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts strong, intense spicy, fine hoppy, dry background. Also some alcoholic-woody notes. Finish a bit unbalanced, fruity like lemon and grapefruit. Not too drinkable. Okay.

330 ml swingtop bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 8.7%. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Very nice and fresh hoppy aroma, typical Bramling Cross notes of blackcurrants / blackcurrant leaves. The flavour is herbal, spicy and hoppy, again with notes of blackcurrant leaves. The alcohol is clearly present.

(Draught at De Paas, Den Haag, 21 Feb 2013) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, citrus, grass and fresh hops. Malty, hoppy taste with citrus, bready malt, black-currant and a generous grassy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. More than medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.

Very hazy amber beer, tiny white head. Crispy palate. Minerally caramel malt. Mild orange hops, sweet tangerine follows. Dry and slightly bitter finish,

Clear golden colour, white head. Rather floral hoppy aroma, currants, quite fruity, light spicy yeast. Light sweet malty flavour, medium bitterness. Spicy finish, ripe fruits, fresh berries, light apricot.
Nice!

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra. Hazy old yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast, floral hops and ripe fruits, even more fruity than the normal Nobel ofcourse thanks to the extra hops. Medium bitter with a long fullfilling aftertaste. As I said in my review of the normal Nobel: ’Strong Pale Lager’ doesn’t do enough justice to Christoffel Nobel to describe this excellent underfermented beer.
