The Moinette Brune is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since its creation in 1986 this beer becomes more and more famous.
A melange of 4 special malts results into this unusual colour, light darkbrown going into russet. The aromas of hop and special malts are creating the dominating taste in this beer.
The Moinette Brune combines a slightly bitterness with a fruity touch.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for many months in your cellar, will transform this product into a quite surprising beer.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, ruby-brown colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Fruity and dark malty aroma, notes of raisin, hints of treacle, a touch of liquorice, yeasty and hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet, dark malty, slightly fruity and minimally woody, hints of dried fruit, raisin, a touch of liquorice, yeasty and hoppy overtones; soft palate, gentle but efficient carbonation.

Bottle. Pours opaque ruby red to mahogany. Medium bubly beige head that quickly deminishes. Good lacing. Smells of dried fruit. coffee, toffee, spicy yeast. Medium body. the flavour is semi-dry, malty and boozy. Dried fruit, chocolate. Fairly bitter harsh ending coming rather from alcohol than from hops. Not the best balance among its Belgian competitors. Could use some aging.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Tulip. Hazy, amber-red colour with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet aroma with fruits, yeasts, caramel, bread, floral and herbal hops. Taste is light sweet. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with dark, dried fruits, herbal and yeasty notes. As the beer warms up - some booze. Lovely Dubbel.

Közepes, tartós hab, barna szín, szűretlen. Kandiscukros, karamelles illat. Karamelles, enyhén pezsgős, malátás íz. Közepesen testes, erősen, de nem zavaróan szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Nem jön be, valahogy nem elég fajsúlyos, talán érnie kellene még.

Dark brown, light greyish head is quite small; scarce retention but good lacing. Aroma is malty (dough and toffee) with a bit of earthiness, dark/dried fruit notes, maybe a herbal hint. Not that intense. Taste is mostly sweet with just a hint of bitterness in the finish: again malty (dough) with a hint of earthiness and quite a presence of residual sugary sweetness (brown sugar). Background notes of liquorice, dark fruits and banana. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish and aftertaste are also sweet and full. Medium body with medium to high carbonation; a semi-full, but not so creamy mouthfeel. Overall ok and pleasant but not too impressive.
