Horny Devil is our interpretation of a Belgian-style Golden Ale. Brewed with authentic Belgian ingredients including candi sugar and a Trappist yeast strain, its fruity and spicy aromas include notes of orange, banana, and peppercorns. Coriander seeds add refreshing citrus notes which meld seamlessly with the beer’s delicate malt. Horny Devil finishes with a lively carbonation and a refreshingly dry finish.

65 cl bottle (10%) @ O’Hara’s Freehouse. Rated on 12.05.2010
Aroma is perfume‐like with citrus, some spicy notes, orange peel and apricot. Flavour has citrus, some peppery spices, apricot and pear esthers. A good duvel clone, nothing more or less.

750 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with medium head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of Belgian yeast, coriander, candy, and a little honey. Strong coriander flavor, with floral, light malt, and salty notes. Quite nice. Likely a good match for spicy food or a light lunch.

Bottled:
Hazy golden color. Large and thick head. Aroma of orange peels and a some yeast. Dry and slightly rough mouthfeel. Flavour is citrus, spices, and some caramel. Alcohol bitter finish. Tastes like a spicy Duvel and is dangerously easy to drink.

Bottle shared at Brewdog Camden, London with an ex work colleague. A dark hazy golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, fruity, spice aroma. Tastes quite Belgian, sweet, spice, citrus and some banana. I’m not really a big fan of Belgian inspired US ales, this was pretty good though and it did not feel like an 11%er.

Bottle 4 Beer tasting club - Pours a golden straw colour, very good attempt at a Belgian Strong Ale, but the Belgians do it better. Still a solid beer.

750ml bottle from Bierkompass.de

Pours light orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of apricose, spices, malts, orange and fruits. Taste is quite fruity with notes of apricose, orange, spices and malts. Finish is smooth and slightly hoppy with some spicy notes. Alcohol is well hidden. Quite well balanced and tasty.
