From a 345ml bottle on 29/5/2010. Has quite a nice grassy, honeyish aroma. In the mouth, it’s quite sweet, with dollop of malt and some slight grassy/herbal notes, followed by a modest hop finish. Certainly not as good as the Malt Shovel standards, though I suppose one should make allowances for it being a pale lager. Unremarkable.

Pours golden with a small head.Has a faint aroma, with sweet caramel and grainy malt alongside some light floral and spicy hops.Sweet malty flavours, but still quite grainy. Once again, there’s some spicy and grassy hops.Pretty watery.

Bottle. Clear pale golden with no head. A beautiful aroma - floral and sweetly fruity. Light body with medium carbonation, but not fine. Light malty, sweet and flowery with modest but short-lived bitterness. Well balanced and refreshing whilst the flavour is there, but dies away very quickly. Refreshing, pleasant, easy drinking lager. [Draught (much later). Aroma was not as good, but no problem with it. Mouthfeel was however better. Overall still good, but maybe a 3.4.]
