Bottle. CBC Trade. Thanks Kevin. Pours hazy yellow with a frothy white head and lacings. Citrus, grass, straw and Senne yeast. Dry and spicy bitter. Lovely and quaffable. Close to perfection.

Side by side comparancy. Nr 5 and 6 pour the same, hazy blonde with a good white head ( hazy since I poured with yeast ) . Smell is more to the lemon-side in 5, while having a touch more yeast in 6. However, these differences are superdetailed, and as good as unexistent. Taste is sharp, bitter, with some lemon fruits and a nice malty back. Mild buttery malt-profile - on Nr 5 . . 6 is definately sharper, more intensely bitter. Less on the fruity side, more to the yeast yet again. The aftertaste contains the malt-profile that is more prominent in the other version. Both have the same MF and carbo, which are both very good. Very close to eachother right now. If you don’t taste them side-by-side, I dont think you will notice a difference. I am very curious to wether age will set these ones appart ? Giving the same score since they are so damn close, but If i HAD to choose, I think i slightly prefer the Nr 5

One of the Wadesda ’experiments’ from de la Senne, with a very thickly, cobweb-lacing, off-white, stable head (and slight gushing); colour hazy yellow blonde with calm sparkling, cloudy with deposit. Aroma of peach, apple, wet straw, sourdough, dried lemon peel, fresh sorrel and nettles, faint banana ester, minerals but also rainwater, something rather disturbingly sulphuric (burnt plastic) and rotting grass, not too attractive actually... Taste is fortunately better, restrained ’yeasty’ fruitiness, dryish and sourish, with impressions of gooseberry, green apple and white grape, sharpish and minerally carbonation, bit grainy after that, pale malt sweetishness but very subdued, smooth and not too thin body though, with lingering yeastiness and a ’deep’, earthy and grassy hop bitterness already noticeable in the onset but increasing to a dry, bitter ending in the finish, appetizing. The aroma did not invite me too much and the first sip wasn’t too exciting either, but it does finish in a nice, juicy hoppiness, which does compensate to a certain extent, so I’ll give this the benefit of the doubt as far as my personal palate is concerned. Still, since this is Senne, I expected more.

Hazy pale golden colour, white head. Light malty aroma, light twigs, light hops. Bitter flavour, malts, hops, light weed. Light bitter finish, twigs. Nice, but feels a bit subdued compared to Wadesda #6.

Hazy bright orange. 2 finger head with lacing. Juicy orange aroma. Some citrus and a little wheat. Good mouthfeel. Certainly a lot of hop bitterness. Crisp sweetness and a lot of citrus
