This unique beer is the result of the exceptional traditional technique of dry hopping as genuine Kent hops are added after the brewing process, at low temperature, so that only the finest of the hops’ aromas and flavours are transmitted to the beer. The amber sensuality of Martin's Pale Ale, its creamy foam and its hoppy flavour make it a favourite with discerning drinkers in search of a beer of character.

33 cl bottle @ some restaurant in Brussels. Rated on 13.4.2009
Aroma has sweetish malt with caramel. Flavour has caramel with hints of salt. I was hoping a good pale ale to get a pause from all of those Belgian ales – but this appeared to be rather far from a pale ale. And had even some elements from a Belgian Ale...

Clear red / dark amber color white head. Smell a little spicy, not very nice to me. Average taste with a low body.

Clear copper colour, white head. Aroma rather restrained, but very nice. Floral and citrus hops on a malt base. Quite sweet, quite pronounced honey and some caramel. Flavour is malty, nice bitter hops tones, citrus fruits, honey. Very balanced. Finish bit bitter with citrus tones.

Imported from my RateBeer account as Martin's Pale Ale (by John Martin):
Aroma: 8/10, Appearance: 4/5, Taste: 7/10, Palate: 5/5, Overall: 16/20, MyTotalScore: 4/5
*** bottle was 2 years past expiration date *** Pours a clear amber beer, beige creamy head. Smells like caramel, pear and banana, most likely due to it's age. A pleasant mouth feeling, still enough carbon. Tastes fresh and little sour at first, continues to a sweet malty taste with caramel. Aftertaste is a little sweet, roasted malts and some acidity, again: maybe due to it's age.

Clear amber with a small cream head that laces well. Aroma of caramel, red berries, flowers, citrus. Taste has quite rich caramel sweetness and fruity hop bitterness. Tastes weirdly like sweet black tea. The slight yeast taste and texture is I guess what you’d expect of an English-style beer made in Belgium. Finish is a little too fruit sweet for me, although the hints of sourness are quite nice. May not have travelled terribly well.

Bottle in Leuven. Darker than your average pale ale. Good balance. Nice enough, but not outstanding.
