Flaska från Brill, Norge-provningen. Mörk för att vara en IPA, söt DIPA-doft av söt, fruktig och besk citrus. Smaken är söt, oljig och besk. Mycket söta citrusskalssmaker, ganska tuff beska, nyans av bergamott. Liknar en besk marmelad med mycket skal. Lite väl söt.

Bottle at home. Pours a cloudy brown colour with a big khaki head. Malty and fruity aroma with grapefruit, grassy hops and citrus. Malty flavour as well along with rye, nuts, leather and fruity hops. Feels like a nice mix of IPA and a brown ale. Rich and slick mouth feel, and has a medium bitterness. A really rich rye IPA, well-balanced and nice.

Bottle from Yamaichi. Big citrusy nose with caramel and chocolate. Sweet orange. OK, but not so special. Surprising dark, dirty brown, low fine head. Never saw an IPA this dark. Hoppy, lots of citrus flavor, orange, lemon, chocolate, caramel, pine, grass. Big clash between the caramel malts and the citrus, like an orange Belgian chocolate. Rich, oily body. Spicy, peppery finish. Different. Enjoyable enough.

Small offwhite head. Hazy opaque deep red body goes orange at edges. Resiny fruity perfumy aroma with wooden pineapple notes. Dry resiny tropical fruit taste with pineapple and persimmon notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry resiny peachy pineapple aftertaste with herbal persimmon notes. Nice, but a bit sharp in the flavour. (0.5l bottle at Crow Bar, Oslo.)

Draught@SBWF2012. Slightly hazy amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, grassy, earthy, some mild sweet malts, herbs and quite zesty. Flavour is quite similar with some slight rye bready and toasted notes as well.

(Draught at Cosmic Comic Cafe, 20121020) The beer poured dark brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had citrciness, grapefruit, pine and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citrciness, grapefruit, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. Nice balanced IPA with long pleasant aftertaste.

Bottle at IndyManBeerCon 2012. It pours cloud deep red-amber, with a medium white head. The nose is fresh tangerine, mango, apricot, wood, light varnish, touch of spice and some caramel in the background. The taste is tangerine, tart orange, mango, tangy lime, good malt backbone, wood, graininess and light spice, with a smooth, assertive bitter finish. Medium body, average carbonation and lightly sticky mouth-feel. Very flavoursome stuff indeed.

Fra flaske på Cardinal: kveldens første virkelige højdare! Spennende aroma. Meget smaksrik og med lang, god og mørk ettersmak. Vitamininnholdet på 7,5% varmer i magen. Rugmalt, havre, bergamotblader, mandarinsaft og plenty humle gjør susen. Men pale på farge er den ikke. En lekkerbisken.
