500 ml bottle. Dark reddish body with a thin off-white head. Aroma is honey, heather and flowers. Flavor is very sweet honey with a hint of citrus. I really don’t like this to much but I wouldn’t really say its bad neither. Just not very complex.

(50 cl bottle from Systembolaget) Clear deep red to dark brown color, big tan head. Very floral and sweet perfumy mixed with lemon scent. It’s more like enetring a perfume store than sniffing a mead. It’s not that the smell is un-pleasant, but it doesn’t smell like something I want to put in my mouth. Well, I did, but I almost regret it. A mix of perfume and roasted malt, leaving a floral perfumy pot-purri aftertaste. This one I can’t bare to have any more of, it will go down the drain. Terrible stuff. Spritzy mouthfeel and no bitterness. Pretty much utterly disgusting. The label on the bottle states "Contains: water, malt, hops, yeast and aroma of honey" Sounds to me they didn’t even put real honey in there. Stay away from this piece of crap.

Bottled. Clear, dark golden with a nice off-white head and some carbonation. Honey dominates the aroma, but not in a pleasant way at all, and is followed by notes of heather and lemon. The flavor is weaker, but honey and lemon are there too. Thin, papery and a bit sticky mouthfeel and a finish with lemon and honey-sweetness with some hops. Is this one really selling? (070104)

Bottle, 5.2%. Very sweet honey aroma. The flavour is not as sweet as expected. Some cough syrup notes appear at the back of my throat.

(Bottle 50 cl) The back label credits this to "Nya Munkbo Ångbryggeri". Beautiful deep amber colour, clear with almost no head. Dry, slightly tart with distinct notes of honey - more in aroma than in flavour. Technically this is more beer than mead. 230402

Bottled (BB 02/2005)
Dark but clear copper brown, small brown head. Lively carbonation. Strong honey nose, slightly malty. Malty, dunkel-like flavor with added honey. Honey flavor tastes quite artifical and it jumps from the palate but still this is quite drinkable.

Bottled. Dark (rusty) brown, not much of a head. Aroma consists of malt and honey, and a bit of hops. Wellbalanced taste of hops and honey, a sweet aftertaste. This tastes more than a dark lager than mead in my opinion.

A dark amber mead with a beutiful beige head - quite surprising for a mead. The aroma is totally dominated by honey, but also contains hints of hops. The flavor is too sweet - dominated by honey from beginning to end.

Bottled. Copper coloured, creamy head. Smells of honey, eucalypthus and menthol. Medium bodied and sugary, but not terribly sweet. Has a not of bitterness in the finsish, but more artificial honey flavour. A look at the label explains this part: Ingredients: Water, malt, hops, yeast, honey aroma...
