Jan 2007: Blind tasting, what the hell is it? Almost clear, golden yellow, very pale though, before I touch it, I am thinking Euro lager. Aroma, wheat, flowers of some sort, still thinking Europe, is it a crap supermarket German wheat beer? What is that flavour and do I like it? No, not really. A mix of tastes, cereals (rye, wheat, etc), with a dryness that I find unpleasant. The mouthfeel does nothing for me either, not a beer I will be trying again. It is supposed to be a Premium Lager, couldn’t tell that. The 650ml brown bottle claims Aloe Vera is in the mix, I’ll wash my hair with it next time, rather than drink it.

Bottled. An orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and with primary notes of straw, while the flavor is sweet malty and again with strong notes of straw. Boring.

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. Pale golden beer with a small, white head. Floral aroma with some grass and fruits. Grains, hay and fruity hints in the flavor. Thin body. Boring, not bad. (060826)

No carbonation, no head. Light yellow. Slight grainy aroma. Grainy palate, with a hint of aloe vera. Ick. Really bland, with a flavour that doesn’t make sense in a beer...but at least my skin’s soft.

(650 ml bottle on RBESG 2006) Bottle originally brought over from London to me as a gift from two friends. Very pale yellow color, white head. Vegetable scent, also a bit sweet malty smell. Sweet corn like but also fresh in a way taste. Very low bitterness. Spritzy mouth feel.

RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. ABV is 5.0%. Batch #26. Pale lager aroma and flavour, slightly flowery. Nothing to write home about, the aloe vera did not make much of an impression on me.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Hand cream aroma (aloe vera?) with some weak hints of malts and hops. Flavour is plain malty and hoppy. Aftertaste has some buttery and hoppy notes. Quite pilsener/lagerish flavour.

(Bottle 65 cl) Clear, pilsener golden with a white head. Discreet, malty nose. Fairly light-bodied with notes of brewing cereal. No bitterness but a slight tartness in the finish. 260806
