Light brown with thin, creamy head. Really intense aroma of red fruits. Sweet, malty, fruity. Really smooth and silky. Has a bitter hop background that balances the sweeter fruitier notes well.

Like drinking a very malty red wine. Thick beer, with notes of dry grapes. Nice, but needs a bit more depth.

Tap @ Utrecht Beerfestival 2014, small sample. Sligth hazy reddish color, short head. Aroma is just what you expect from an imperial red ale on bordeaux barrels: lots of carared, so a bit roasted, slight raisin, some caramel, slight piney hops, together with a soft but very present red wine notes. Soft bitterness in taste, slight sweet, fruity of the wine. Hint of vanilla and oak as well. Great in balance, alcohol hardly noticeable. Lovely beer.
