750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 2016. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy kiwi, fruit skin/seed, peach, plum, pear, apricot, orange, grapefruit, mango, melon, passion fruit, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, lighter leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruit/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, fruits, wine barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy kiwi, fruit skin/seed, peach, plum, pear, apricot, orange, grapefruit, mango, melon, passion fruit, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, lighter leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic/tart/sourness, Brett/fruit/wine tang, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy kiwi, fruit skin/seed, peach, plum, pear, apricot, orange, grapefruit, mango, melon, passion fruit, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruit/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, fruits, wine barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness, fruit/wine tang, and Brett/oak spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness, tangy fruit, and yeast/oak spiciness, and carbonation after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic balance mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warmth of 8% after the finish. Overall this is an excellent barrel aged fruited sour/wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruit/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, fruits, wine barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic/tannic for the style. Not sure on fruits, probably kiwi, pineapple, and passion fruits. Great balance between juicy fruits, Brett/Bacteria/Saison yeast, and wine barrel presence; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp drying. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Bottle shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sour tropical fruits with a bit of dank citrus and a bit of grains underlying. Flavor has dank and sour citrus with some sweet grains and a bit of funk underlying.

Lightly hazy, dull gold. Sweetish, light lychee and white wine...not the most composed product. A let down.
