The tenth Daemon of this limited series is a seductively sweet behemoth that started out as a thick stout before copious additions of cacao, coffee, lactose and vanilla.
The hideous creature AZAG was feared by the ancient Sumerians for the plagues and doom he brought upon them. And now he returns to challenge both gods and heroes...

Can at home, from DeBierkonig, Amsterdam, 14th May 2020. Pours a black beer. Aroma is sweet, chocolate, light coffee. Taste is pretty sweet, milk chocolate, coffee, not much vanilla, very sweet, too much for me, not sure why the lactose, itβs still a reasonable beer.

0.33 l can from 'Beerdome', best before April 2021. Pitch black, no head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, lactose and some vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, lactose and vanilla, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly earthy and a little powdery finish with quite some coffee. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Really pleasant beer, nicely roasty and therefore not too sweet, the low carbonation fits in very well. Good Stout from Walhalla, I really admire the consistency of this brewery recently.
