Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tulip glass. Pitch black, good creamy tan head, dissipating slowly, light lacing. Aroma roasted malt, forest fruits, cherry, cocoa, coffee, earthy notes, retronasal roast. Taste above medium sweet and below medium bitter, quite fruity, malty, dark chocolate, forest fruits, cherries, alcohol notes. Full-bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth sweetbitter aftertaste, chocolate, restrained, warming alcohol, complex, well-balanced, very good.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours black with a thick fawn head. Aromas of dark chocolate and coffee. Taste adds more of the same. Slightly nutty finish.

Verzet Baby Jesus, ein Imperial Porter mit Kirschen und Kaffee, Fläschchen (Exp: 21/09/25) aus Tausch - thanks, Jef! - Fast schwarz, beigefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase massives, trocken bitteres Röstmalz, Espresso, Bitterschokolade, ein Hauch von Rosinen, fruchtige Säure und gedämpfte herbale Herbe, leiser Alkohol. - Antrunk fett und deutlich säuerlich röstmalzig mit Espresso, Sauerkirsche, schwarzer Johannisbeere und einer Andeutung von weihnachtlichen Gewürzen. Ohne Süße aber mit kräftiger Mokkabittere, die den Hopfen überflüssig macht. Milder rezent, vollmundig, glatt; perfekt kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang dominiert die Säure, zwar nicht so sehr daß man eine Infektion annehmen muß aber doch auf Kosten der Malzigkeit und der nur zu ahnenden, leise herbalen und zitronigen (oder ist das die Sauerkirsche?) Hopfung. - Ein Erlebnis aber kein Genuß - dafür ist die Säure zu aufdringlich. Verlangt gebieterisch nach etwas Süßem (Lebkuchen oder Dominosteine) zum Ausgleich. (20.10.2024.)

Donkerbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van chocolade, wat koffie en wat noten en zwarte bessen.

Bottle at De Dingen Kortrijk . Black beer large beige head Chocolate aroma and flavour. A little powdery on the chocolate like its been burnt. Better in mouth. Intense dark chocolate. Some coffee. S9me berry flavour. Intense flavours. Pretty good in small samples. Liked it in the end. Good blackcurrant flavours. Hides abv pretty well.

Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Brown colouir. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Kerstbier Festival. A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of mild sweet dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, wood. Taste of sweet strong dark malt, coffee, chocolate, some wood, some red fruits.
