Named after our native Florida Sea Cow, the Manatee, who resides in the murky brackish waters of Florida, this beer is dark, flavorful and roasty. This beer is smooth, with a velvety mouthfeel, but at the same time the roasted malt gives you that rich FAT flavor you want from a stout.

Poured a pitch black with huge light brown head. Aroma is roasted malts. Taste is malt, roasty, dark bakers chocolate. Smooth finish.

Pours black, small tanned head. Smell is dry, lactic, coffee, touch of smoke. Taste is full, roasty, light smoke. Intense roast. Touch of sweetness. OK.

Can on board the Carnival Splendor. Pours almost black with a tan colour head. Aroma of lactose, light coffee, malt and chocolate. Fairly sweet with a light roasted bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation. Finish was oddly salty.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a dark brown color with a small light tan head. Aroma was light sweet malts, roasted notes, some coffee. Flavor was milky chocolate, with some roasted coffee. Very creamy.

Sweet, dark brown, sweet, well-balanced, subtle chocolate, touch of nuttiness. This is probably their best beer, showcasing their talent for making the dark, malty stuff.
