Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2019 - London. Pours clear golden-brown with a frothy, light tan head. Decent English yeast expression, notes of toasted brown bread, perhaps a touch of orange peel. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Nice balance in the finish. Fine overall.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2019, [ Great British Beer Festival 2019 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.

[ As Bushys Dark Side ].
ABV: 4.0%. Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, sweet malt, bread. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, dark malt, toasted, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190806]

Cask at GBBF ‘19, day 3, 08/08/19. Deep chestnut brown with a decent beige head. Nose is nutty, brown bread, dark malts, dried fruits. Taste comprises toffee, biscuit, stewed fruits, brown bread, fruit loaf. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok mild.

Cask at GBBF: Poured a mahogany brown with bubble off white head. Aroma was malt and yeast. Taste is nice soft malts and grain. Not overwhelming but good.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Light haze on this amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, light, low carbonation. Modest pine and modest ripe fruits. Light semi dry finish. Fine.

Cask at GBBF 2019. Coffee and boiled veg aroma. Dark chestnut. Frothy off-white head. Light bitter. Some malt. Some dark fruit. Some boiled veg. Light bodied. Thin but creamy. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. Nice enough if not memorable.

8/8/2019. Cask at the 2019 Great British Beer Festival. Pours clear pale brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of light roasted malt, caramel, touch of chocolate, fruit and vanilla. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Light to moderate body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Even at 4%, needed more body.
