This beer is a celebration of everything we've learned about barrrel ageing over the last 15 years. This double IPA has been matured in specially selected 15 year old whisky barrels from a famous distillery in the Highlands of Scotland.
The aromas are a marriage of zesty orange and oak. On the palate, juicy maltiness compliments the vibrant orange marmalade hop flavours and the finish is mellow with hints of vanilla and heather honey from the barrel.

Bottle. Morrison’s. Clear amber colour. Thin, white head. Fairly viscous. Smells like a pint of beer, according to the missus. She’s not far wrong. Taste is is sweet and malty. Medium body. Fine carbonation. Oily and slick. Bit of an artificial sweetness thing to finish. Grim.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with a large, foamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Aroma of bready malt, caramel, faint orange rind and oak. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, whisky, orange peel, vanilla, honey and oak with a dry, floral hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not sure how they think this is a DIPA. At 7.4% ABV this is an IPA, and not a very good one. Disappointing, could use more hops.
