Darkness is a beer of fable and legend. Malty and intense, yet velvety smooth. This special edition of our massive Russian imperial stout matured in rye whiskey barrels and brings waves of chocolate, vanilla, dried fruit, and cherry flavors, enhanced by the oak and spice of the barrel.

Very short lived small tan head with a brownish black opaque color. The aromas are lots of cocoa, dark malt, and hints of whiskey and oak. Flavors are similar to nose, pushing the upper limits of pleasantly sweet with some good carbonation to balance and some bitterness. Some molasses in there they come out more in the finish. Good body. Decent Imperial Stout. Can't imagine what aging would do to it.

Pours a thick, oily black, with small tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, licorice, booze, dark fruits. Flavors follow. Smooth and quite sweet. I've had this one for awhile--gold wax. Bought at Top Ten--Osseo a couple of years ago.

Expensive bomber thanks to Drake! Made it another year, plus a week off of work - this is reason to celebrate. 2020 wax sealed bomber. Pours black with a slow-rising soft dark brown head. Beautiful! Nose is bourbon, smoke, wood, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, vanilla... very lovely aroma. Flavor is sweet milk and dark chocolates, bourbon, barrel, roasted malt, wood wood wood, vanilla, caramel, a little smoked peat. Lingering bourbon aftertaste with a little burn going down. This is really f-ing good. I'm going to do my best to not pound this.
