50cl can from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours orange amber, scarcely transparent, with limited fine white foam. Aroma is evidently of ginger, not much else. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium bitter and hot, continuing long into the final.

Clitheroe Beer Festival 2023. Mildly hazed amber brew at 4.6%. Its ginger is dominant in both aroma and taste, although not quite overbearing given the lower strength of this version of one of Marble Brewery's flagship beers.

Cask at Southampton Arms. A slightly hazy dark blond colour. Aroma is unsurprisingly full on ginger and not much else. Taste gives plenty more ginger and a bit of creaminess/sweetness. Very spicy taste and gives a real prickly feeling in the mouth. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Nice but not sure if I would have more than one in a sitting.

Cask at the brewpub. From old notes. Nose is ginger. Flavor is burning ginger. Can’t really taste much else! Overwhelming, though very interesting as well.

Cask at the Southampton Arms. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin frothy white head. The aroma is dry crisp ginger. The flavour is spicy veg with a strong ginger burn plate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Steer clear if you don’t like ginger!

Cask at the Southampton Arms. Pours clear dark golden with a small off white head. Aroma of ginger. Flavour of ginger. Ginger in the palate. A long ginger finish. A bit of a one hit wonder this one.

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Expected more spiky ginger in this, but produces a nice smooth, easy-drinking flavour with enough of a spicy tingle to satisfy my ginger urges.
