[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2005] A hazy orange beer with a light orange head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by ginger, and so is the flavor, which reminds me a lot of a christmas cookie. The ginger and some notes of black peber stings the tongue slightly, before a dry end sets in.

Sampled cask conditioned at Marble Arch, Manchester.
Golden colour. Strong ginger aroma. Medium bodied and sweetish, but really this is all about ginger. Not my cup of tea, but still I do appreciate this attempt of being different in the beer traditionalist Mecca of Manchester.

To say that this lingers on the palate is an understatement. The next six beers I had there I could have written down 'ginger' in the flavour of each of them, but I knew better. Very sharp ginger flavour - not quite as sharp as Grace Ginger Beer, if you've ever had that, but very gingery. Refreshing in the end when some sweetness comes in to rescue you. Pale colour.
