35,5 cl bottle @ home, BBE 04/2016
Aroma has caramel, resiny tones, hops and some odd toffee-like notes. Flavour has toffee, resiny tones, wood and some fruity hops. Anchor house aroma is also present. Something between American and British IPA, just as I expected. I like the strong malty body here.

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. Clear, amber colour. Creamy, tight, sticky, lasting, off white head. Toffee malt. Bloomy, orange hop. Hint of spice. Taste is light bitter. Spicy dry. Palate is full, and lightly oily. Finish is more of the spicy dryness. Light, orange bitter. In beautiful condition, this.

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange with a large rocky beige head. Sweet caramel malt nose. Tangy caramel malt flavor has notes of biscuit and pecans. Big citrus hops kick in the mid taste. Complex and spicy with notes of tropical fruit. Wonderful balance and drinkability.

355 ml bottle. A dark red brown amber in the glass. Mighty nearly white head. Intensive herb fruity, mango and/or melon on the nose. Starts suprising bitter. First allmonds, later licorice with a honey malt background. Later melon, caramell and sweet. Not what IΒ΄m expected but interesting.

Keg at BD , Sheps B. It pours deep amber with a decent beige head. The nose is toasty, earth, leather, varnish, brown bread and caramel. The taste is bitter-sweet, wood, earth, leather, resin, varnish, light alcohol and light toast with a dry, bitter finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Decent malt-driven Ipa.

Bottle. Amber, clear body, with a big, stable, sticky, creamy, slightly yellow head. Aroma of candy, yeast, citrus, orange, peach, some pine. Taste with about the same aromas, dominant sweet malt backbone, with biscuit and candy. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a light carbonation and it finishes bitter-sweet, with citrus, candy and some pine. Nice one, but more like a Pale Ale, similar to their Liberty Ale in my opinion. As much as I like the latter, this is a bit too sweet and easy for my liking and not what I expect from an IPA. Still an enjoyable beer though.

Bottle: Almost clear, very deep golden coloured, visible carbonation, stable creamy mid-sized off-white head; distinctive dryish medical to herbal hoppy nose with a pretty solid sweetish malty-toasty background; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, barely medium bodied, nearly soft; slightly lingering dry medical-hoppy finish, balanced by the usual amount of sweet malt. Yes, they can…

Taste is crystal malty, caramel, orangey, grapefruit, woody pine, hop resin, lingering bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy earthy woody hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable IPA.
