Slightly hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of alcohol, cereal, earth and a light note of citrus hops. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent and floral hop character with an overly present malt flavour along with some stale and cardboardie elements. Aftertaste shows some corn and off/foul flavours of the malt along with some noticeable hop bites. Overall, a good sounding ’style’ to attempt to brew, but in practice - at least this attempt - this doesn’t work out so well, and you are left with a very inferior beer. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop (12th Street Location - since Closed) in Arlington, Virginia on 19-December-2014 for US$2,39 sampled at home in Washington on 30-May-2015 just a few blocks away from the store.

Bottle shared at RBWG ’15 Grand Tasting @ Coppertail, thanks to whomever shared this one, 21/02/15. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is tangy citric peel, bitter orange, hint of plastic, light spice. Taste comprises tangy lemon, orange peel, straw, light spice, yeast notes, pale malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so - not much to it.
