Bottle share from Rich. Dark and fruity, berries rule the aroma and taste. Reminds me of jelly. Hint of tartness tops off the whole schmeer. One of the better sours I’ve had.

Bottle - Sweet dark berries and grape. Deep purple with almost no head. Tart and acidic dark purple berries and sweetness. It is very juice like but has some nice tartness and complexity. Nice.

Sample at M’kReam’s 40th Birthday Party on 08/01/2015. The beer pours a dark purple color with a medium pinkish-purple head that burns away steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart berries, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of blackberries, oak, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is moderately sour with a berry and oak aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

From a 375 ml bottle. Aroma is rather citrus forward with a moderate lemon note. Light oak notes with medium light tropical fruit and light phenolics. Medium raspberry character, but not jammy at all. Pours a dark, deep purplish red with a big, rocky pink head that recedes moderately quick. No lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly tart with light citrus notes. Hints of tropical fruit and phenolics with a medium light oak note. Light bitterness. Moderate to moderately strong raspberry character, but not the jammy red raspberries; these are almost like blackberries. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency with low alcohol warmth. Overall, this beer is stupid delicious. I really like the character of this strain of raspberry. Light Brett character and medium moderate acidity. It lacks the barnyard funk of its more traditional brethren, but its still tasty.
