Bottle from LCBO at the Farm. Black slightly thin pour. Sticky legs and head. Aroma is sort of generic stouty - not in a bad way - toasted malt. Taste is chocolatey, bitter roasted flavor. Good. Lasting bitterness. Palate a bit thin. Pretty good.

Botella de 50 cl en el lúpulo en el momento el 12-07-2014. Embotellada en 02-05-2014. Color negro intenso con espuma oscura. Buenos aromas iniciales a especias, maltas tostadas y bastante chocolate.

Direct from fermenter, no age yet. Roast malts. Jet black with a bubbly brown head. Roast and bitterness. Long finish. Light bitter chocolate and some acidic notes. Not a fair rating as it isn’t finished, but will rerate when I can.

Bottle at the DTE tasting, Den Haag. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, zesty citrus, light band aid. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a dry medicinal band aid palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Cloudy chestnut with a little bit of head. Both molasses and vague spice (cinnamon?) are present in the aroma. Rich, full-bodied and with lots of spice, but also yeasty. The malts are muddled and while the rich fruitiness is appreciated the roast is harsh like burnt espresso and the alcohol not strong enough to take the edge off the sweetness.
