Bomber from Grocery Outlet. Cloudy amber pour with a creamy off-white head. Rich malty aroma, woody, brown bread. Taste is strong, boozy and malty, a bit of sweetness succumbs to the ABV . What an enjoyable throwback to the early world of malty DIPAs. Beer time machine...

Draft - Sticky lupulin and caramel notes. Very sweet and caramel forward. Copper gold with a decent beige head. Sweet, sticky and oily caramel with hops and a bit of a dry finish. Very old school caramel forward.

Bottle: Poured a copper with off white head. Aroma is malty. Taste is malty with some hops. Gets some bonus for the labeling on this one, but not much else here.

Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland
Hazy amber color with medium head. The strong malty character of this beer and medium sweetness level, although both lovely, label this as an old school IIPA; the hops are strong, more resiny than else, a bit orangey too; the malts also have a mild biscuity note. The caramel still dominates the final. The alcohol is well conceived.
Excellent powerful beer, I wouldn’t drink more than a glass of it per session though.

Growler thanks to Brian! Pours clear deep reddish brown with a medium brown head, creamy with good lacing. Aroma is malty caramel, pine, a bit of citrus. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Too malty for my personal taste.

Tap at Walking Man, Stevenson, 24/05/13. Clear dark amber with a thin off white head which retains well. Nose is hops, bitter orange, light pine, caramel notes. Taste comprises a caramel malt backbone, hops, pine resin, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, light tropicals. Full bodied with fine carbonation, good hop bite in the finish. Decent enough DIPA.

On tap at TCBF, pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma and flavour of strong piney hops, dried fruits (apricot, orange and peach), with a strong hop punch in the finish. Most wonderful.

12 oz schooner draft at Uber Tavern at Seattle. Pour is clear amber with lots of carbonation bubbles. 1/2 inch off white head. Aroma of floral honey sweetness, a bit of pine resin. Very full nose, nice and fresh. Taste is sweet sticky resin hops, caramel, scotchy pine, nicely balanced with a big malt backbone. Palate is medium to big, coating, with the alcohol present in the aftertaste. Nice one.
