With every autumn comes the hope of a bountiful harvest and this distinctive take on a traditional saison delivers with a crop of barley, oats, rye, and wheat, a malty aroma and golden amber hue. The crisp taste of this Belgian style brew is a perfect match for a brisk fall day.

Bottle. Lightly musty orange malt and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large off white head. Musty orange malt and slighty bitter/dry hay flavor. Pretty nice.

Bottle: Poured a coppery haze with a fluffy white head. Aroma is yeast and light funk. Taste is largely Belgian yeast, some sour wheat, and light malt. This is not bad, if there was just a bit more funk it would be amazing to me.

12 ounce bottle from the fall sampler, 8/15/14. Pours a hazy amber color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of oats, grain, honey, banana, mild hops. The taste is toasted malts, oats, banana, honey, bitter hops. Medium bodied, decent balance, slight lingering bitterness.

Part of their mixed pack on my trip to Maine. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a frothy off-white head, great retention and foamy lace. Fresh Belgian Ale yeast nose. Candy taste of a Belgium Ale with some fruitiness to it. Quite refreshing and good, but not sure a Saison.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a nice bubblegum with some Belgian yeast esters. Flavor is more bubblegum malt with a bit of ester and a very dry malt bringing things up. Way better that that other saison SamAdams foisted upon us a couple of years ago. Decent farmhouse yeast with a dry malt makes this one pretty decent.
