12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of slightly tart grapefruit, lemon, lime, ginger, pear, cracker, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of grapefruit juice, ginger, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of slightly tart grapefruit, lemon, lime, ginger, pear, cracker, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Slight herbal spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon, lime, ginger, pear, cracker, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a very short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of grapefruit juice, ginger, and pale malt flavors; with a good malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness after the finish as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium boded; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish after the finish as expected of 4%. Overall this is a good spiced blonde ale style. All around good balance and solid robustness of grapefruit juice, ginger, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Can to glass, poured a mild golden color with no real head. Sort of fizzy, but no head. Scent of grapefruit is mild, just a faint hint of the ginger. More ginger in the taste, less grapefruit. Pretty underwhelming. About halfway through I dumped in some peach tea, it cut the ginger nicely, and actually made a pretty decent poor swiller.

Crisp light copper and a touch of bronze in the body with a very thin, just slightly topping the beer with a tan glow. Aroma of super pungent fresh ginger, alcohol, soap and much more ginger - just like a soda. Light-bodied; Sharp, pungent ginger flavour at first with no body, no depth and no complexity - just plain and straight with some alcohol and astringency and no body at all. Aftertaste shows ginger and that is it - nothing else of note or description. Overall, a very poor beer - perhaps one of the worst that I’ve sampled in the past five years! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 18-July-2014 for US$,200 sampled at home down in Washington on 16-August-2014.

Can. Stamped on the bottom in a smudged sort of way, I think it says \"07/17/14.\" Best by or born on, I don’t know.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden amber to brown color with a one finger white foamy and bubbly head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. The lacing was bubbly and stuck nicely around the glass.
The smell had a really nice bittersweet grapefruit backed up by a light ginger.
The taste was sweet and ginger spicy leaving a light grapefruit aftertaste and a crisp dry all citrus like finish.
On the palate, this one sat very light and came across very sessionable. The carbonation was there but still obscure enough to not be overly done.
Overall, ah, this will make up for missing Baxter’s Summer Swelter from my Maine days. For the most part, I like this for me but the more I drink it, the more it’s just alcoholic flavored soda that tastes really good.

12oz Bottle found at the back of my son in laws fridge and drank on his balcony on 7th July 2014. I am not a beer and ginger man, but I wanted ’the tick’. Mini haze to the pour, no head but a white collar was visible around the glass. Ginger and citrus flavours from the start: it does what is says on the label. Fine if you are into ginger, but this wasn’t for me. Scored objectively.

I don’t know what this is but it taste like lemon peppercorn. Pours golden amber with ok head and lacing. Ginger. Light sour and sweet finish. On tap at DC Summerfest.

Bottle. A- Ginger. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Ginger, spices, subtle grapefruit. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, spicy finish. O- Was this a Gosling’s Ginger beer in disguise? I was hoping for a lot more grapefruit but could hardly taste it. Wasn’t a bad beer, but basically tasted like a ginger beer. Mixed a little vodka with it and a squeeze of lime and makes a nice version of a Moscow Mule! That makes me enjoy this even more!

Bottle: Poured a golden clear with carbonated bubble head that dissipated fast. Aroma is sweet citrus fruit. Taste is thin watery with citrus fruit and grainy finish.
