on tap at Erzbierschof, september 2014. Cloudy dark orange color with little foam. Hoppy and sweet in aroma, nice balance between piney and fruity hop aromas and aromas of sweet caramel. Heavy body, little carbonation. Taste reflects the aroma well, with a decent bitterness in the finish. Very enjoyable.bottle, may 2016. Still similar to what I wrote in my first rating. A very jammy, warming, but also somehow dry Double IPA.

Bottle. It’s a more or less clear one, quite pale in color and with an off-white head. Some curtains. There’s lots of flour in the aroma, with mint, pine cones and resins. Some pale malts. It’s full bodied and with a pleasant carbonation level. Malty sweetness in the flavor, with flour, pine cones and some resins. A nice bitterness kicking in towards the end. Sure, it’s a nice one, but I’m not convinced. 140822

Hazy and really golden! Color with small white head. Maybe at bit to fruity aroma. Medium + body. Probably a bit to sweet compared to the bitterness. Although it was a fine bitterness. Average carbonation. A bit overripe fruity flavor. Fine citrus hoppy and some alcohol.

Big offwhite head. Clear deepish yellow body with carbonation. Tropical fruit and dry straw aroma with tobacco and toffee notes. Sweet, and somewhat dry, spicy tropical fruit and wood taste with gooseberry notes. Fullish body. Very soft and smooth, slightly hot mouthfeel, somewhat oily. Dryish fruity tobacco and gooseberry aftertaste with spicy notes. Very nice, and extremely drinkable. (0.5l bottle, from Vinmonopolet Oslo City.)

Nydelig duft av frisk citrus og honning. Klar gyllen farge. Hvitt dekkende skum, heng langs kant. Nydelig smak av citrus meden sittende ettersmak av honning.

Gylden brun klar med høyt beige skum som ligger. Fruktig bitter lukt av humle og sitrus samt noe nøttelukt. Myr smak. Godt balansert mellom det humlebitter og den søte sitrusen. Bitterheten overtar i avslutningen og sitter godt og lenge.

Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, grape. peach, honeydew, caramel and hint of alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long tropical fruity and bitter finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Gyllen farge med høyt luftig skum. Lukter godt med humle og også apelsin, sitron. Noe oljete i munnfølelse. Fruktig og samtdig bitter humlepreg i smak. Bitterheten kommer og blir sittende i.
