Our Barracks Brown pays homage to our taproom - building AF 23 - in the Currie barracks, and all those soldiers who raised a glass here before us.

Some roast and some nut. Ok but not super special like discount bins at department stores. Kind of watery consistency. Bottle.

341 ml bottle. Pours an unclear medium brown with a medium, short lived tan head. Nutty aroma with roasted malt, caramel and bread. Sweet, nutty flavour with caramel, bread and a light roasted note in the finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

On tap at Wild Rose, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma and flavour is very weak and watery, with weak chocolate malt and toasted nuts. What a piss poor brown ale this is. Pretty much total crap.

Draught at the brewery
Dark mahogany color. A lean Ale, with a quite good mix of caramel and chocolate malts; quite dry finish.

A reddish brown ale with a thin dissipating off white head. In aroma, strong diacetyl with light sulfury notes...and this is relatively fresh. In mouth, a sourish brew with lacvtic notes, light burned roasted nuts, but rather unimpressed, another bad batch from WR. 330 mL bottle from Presario.

An excellent example of the style with low carbonation, thin creamy head, bitter chocolate, sour nose; coffee like, bitter chocolate, mildy nutty malty taste with a nice slightly sour finish

Bright golden-brown. Fairly light aroma with hints of caramel. Light bodied, with hints of caramel and light hazelnut. Mouthfeel seems artificially thick. Slightly watery finish.
