Pours a cloudy golden color, a bit lighter than expected for a Belgian strong ale, but lots of suspended matter in this brew.. Fairly chunky, as the carbonation keeps the bits swirling in the glass. Fizzy mouthfeel, with slightly sour flavor and tangy mouthfeel. Delicious!

YUCK! should’nt have poured the whole bottle !this is just too filthy for words, how many flying-around-things can be in a beer? and it doenst go away, i’ve rested it like 15 minutes, still flying there... so, mind to 0 and having a taste. the things that ruin it is 1) the feeling of swallowing so much stuff ( like 10 flys in every sip kinda feeling) and , appart from that, to much gas. kinda bitter. wanna be duvel? anyway would get much more if not this filthy ! drained after some ( of the hardest ever) sips

(Draught at Delirium tap bar, Brussels, 18 July 2012) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, marzipan, honey and grassy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of tropical fruit, candy sugar, honey, caramel and a gentle, spicy bitterness in a finish with a certain alcohol bite. Almost full body, quite sweet. A bit boozy and unrefined, but quite decent.

M - 20% carb. Mild dry finish.
O – pretty good. Easy to drink with a lot of saison characteristics. I enjoyed drinking this. 4/5

Suprised to find I’d not reviewed this beer before, as I’ve had it many times over the years: anyway this review is of a 330ml bottle, plastic designer covered. Best before Oct 2013, taken during one of my ’mixed tasting evenings’ March 2011. Poured into a Westmalle chalice: dull orange/old gold in colour, with a large white head which stayed but produced minimal lacing. The nose was sweet and yet with citrus notes within. The sweetness carried on into the taste, the sour citrus smells did not. Alcohol took over the mouthfeel, which was almost too fizzy, certainly well carbonated, if not overly. Just a bit too sweet and lacking in body for me, as well as the alcohol content being too obvious.

Pours amber with lots of big chunks of sediment floating round.Nose shows candi sugar, golden syrup, sweet bread and fruit cake. Incredibly sweet smelling.Flavours include the same sweet bready malt and candi sugar. Way too sweet and cloying.

Bottle. Deep clear golden color with a huge white head. Pleasant aroma of slightly spicy yeast, some fruitiness and some spicy hops. Flavor starts sweet with malt, fruits, and light honey hints and continues drier and spicy with some hops and alcohol in the finish. Medium-bodied. Not bad. would have been nice if it was just a tad drier, but still not bad.
