Wild Blue is brewed with a blend of German hops from the Hallertau region in Bavaria and classic Aroma hops from the Willamette Valley in the Pacific Northwest. A combination of two- and six-row barley malt also was chosen specifically for this recipe. Beer lovers will appreciate this specialty fruit-infused lager’s striking burgundy color, ripe blueberry aroma and its ability to stand up to the strongest of foods.

Pours a strange purple color. Way too sweet. Hides alcohol well, Tastes like a fruity wine more than a beer. Drinkable, but not my type for sure.

From a bottle at the Open Water Grill in Avon NC. Pours a clear purple with a blue white head. Vegetal aroma. Sweet flavor of blueberry pancake syrup. Ugh.

Bottle poured into a tasting cup at Brewsapalooza. Aroma of blueberries. Taste is sickeningly sweet blueberries. Overall, while this may be considered a beer, I consider it alcoholic soda.

Bottle. Blueberry aroma. Purple color. Blueberry malt flavor with a burning alcohol finish. Sweet and rough at the same time - nice combination.

The first line of the description, unedited: "Not suited for timid or reserved or sober beer drinkers...." Smells like blueberries. I’ll give it that. Looks like Fanta, tastes like Seagram’s Wine Coolers pulled from the only icy, mildewy cooler in hell. One sip and into the drain it went. Beer for people scared of beer. (2008)

8%?! what is this, a malt liquor with blueberry flavoring added? Well thats what it almost tastes like, albeit surprisingly clean and dry. But its probably the highest ABV for a "fruit" beer I’ve ever had. I put fruit in quotes because it didn’t taste like real blueberry. Almost palatable if you try not to pay attention to it. Good luck with that. Purple color and head.

12 ounce bottle from a Wegman’s. Maniac recommends this one highly. ;) Yup... it’s purple. Clear purple. Large purple head fades fairly quickly. Aroma of blueberry candy... blueberries, some other berries, and quite sugary. The taste is big sickly sweet blueberries. Very sweet. Almost like blueberry syrup. A bit of a cough syrup thing going on. Thin-medium bodied. Not sure I’ll be able to finish this one, but I’ll try.

Clear deep cherry color with a pink-tinged head. The blueberry aroma is faint but discernible. Decent blueberry flavor. Decent blueberry beer that is light and refreshing.
