I’m not a fan of light beer, Poured a crystal clear bright golden amber with a small off-white head. Low carbonation. A very mild bready aroma. The initial taste was slightly crisp and faded fairly quickly. There was a very mild malt flavor. It is what it is....

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of fruit and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel - but not enough malt, which makes it light bodied and boring.

Bottle from the World Beer Festival - Richmond on 09/05/2010. Very clear light copper body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet toasty malt aroma. Sweet malty flavor, some toasty and caramel notes. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

12oz bottle from a mix-pack. Orange-tan with a thin, oily head. Brewhouse, semi-macro aroma, not impressive. There is some minimal noble hopping that keeps this one together, but other than that a pretty weak offering. Maybe they needed another year to work on it. The malt taste is just thin and weak, and almost tastes like 6-row or some other adjunct. Almost a thin ambery taste to it. Unimpressive.

Purchased in Nashville in a mixed 12-pack of Samuel Adams. Best before SEP 2010 notched on the side of the label. One of the most beautiful looking "light" beer I have seen. Pours a clear amber colour with a big white head, great retention and nice lacing. The nose is malty with notes of bread. Thicker mouthfeel than I expected, so maybe not as easy-drinking as most light beer drinkers would like. Watered-down taste of malt, bread and biscuit. Notes of roasted malt in the aftertaste. Based on their normal Boster lager (which I love) but being a light beer, just not as powerful, but that is normal for what they are trying here. A great light brew.

Bottle from the Summer variety pack. Pours clear copper color wih off white head. Aromas of cereal malts, caramel and hops. Flavor is surprisingly decent for a light beer. Mild caramel and some hop bitterness. Light to medium body, slghtly watery with average carbonation. He best tasting light beer I have had.

Pours copper with weak off white head. The mild aroma is sweet with malts, has a dash of cameral, a faint amount of maybe floral hops and a background of fruity esters. The taste is similar with some malt sweetness, a touch of caramel, very light floral and maybe spicy hops and held up by a wafer thin layer of esters. Not that hateful.

Refrigerated bottle. Different than Sam Adams lager. This is not a light vienna beer style closer to a light american amber. The taste goes from almost nothing to crisp hops with a hint of pine. As far a light beer are concerned this the best I have had.

Surprisingly strong aroma of a barley, especially for a "light beer". Clear golden amber, no head. Essentially flavorless at first. Dried leaves and cherries appear at midpalate and are more easily noticed when warm. Yep, this is a light beer, alright. The aroma led me to believe it might be something more. It tastes pretty much like a watered down amber. The label is correct, there is no aftertaste. Unfortunately, there is no foretaste either.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. White head recedes to nothing. Sour malt aromas. Dry with cloying malts and a crisp finish.
