12oz bottle in Burlington, MA. Amber with a fast fading white head; lightly malty aroma; rather thin in the mouth but with a nice bready malt flavour with some orangey fruit; and some weak hops to finish. Nice stuff.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark gold with about a half finger of white head. Aroma of corn, grains and some light hops. Taste is light bitter. Mostly corn and grains with just a teeny tiny hop bitterness. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and virtually no finish. Overall, not bad for a "light" beer. I’d drink this over any BMC beer any day.

Someone left me a six pack after a party I recently had. Pours bright amber with small head. Not all that much on nose but grains. Tastes of grain, cereal, malt, caramel, earth, and light hopping. Lively carbonation makes this fun drinking lager

Purchased as part of the ’Summer Styles’ 12 pack at Binny’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed with a good friend for my 30th birthday while watching the Home Run Derby. Appearance a clear brown amber with thin white head
Aroma light bready malts, pretty faint but great for a light beer. Taste very very drinkable, definitely a light beer but so much more flavor than a mass produced light lager. Mostly bready malts with light lager yeast. Would definitely recommend for someone considering a craft brew!

Part of the summer mix pack. Pours a clear deep golden color with a stingy white head that dissolves almost instantly leaving a small ring on top. Smells of bready malt, honey, and toffee with hints of floral and earthy hops. Taste is slightly sweet with that grainy malt flavor. A Little bit of floral earthy hop flavors. Light bodies with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet watery mouthfeel. This is definitely not my favorite style, but if I had to drink it this would be the one I would choose. There’s enough flavor and maltiness in here to make this an interesting lawnmower beer and its certainly better than the competitors in the style.

Well, it is what it is. Sam Adams Light tastes exactly like a light version of their traditional lager. Pretty impressive, I guess, if you’ve really been dying to get a light version of their regular lager, but for the rest of us, it’s weak. It’s light. It’s a 2. (1/9/10)

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear light amber with an off-white head. Light pale malt aroma. Flavor is rather thin, with kind of a soapy pale maltiness and a bit of green apple and florals. Very slight bitterness in the finish. But just very thin. I’ve heard people call this the only "Light" beer they can drink, and I guess I can see that, but I was expecting a little more. Still, I suppose it’s a good attempt to walk the line between extremely light body and good flavors.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a light copper color with a large beige head. The aroma is very subdued, with hints of dry hay, walnuts, and cut grass. The flavor is mellow sweetness and musty lager yeast, with a very faint bitter finish. The palate is light to medium and smooth. Overall, an easy-drinking beer, with more depth than I expected.

Ordered by accident, I thought I was getting a regular Sams. Very light orange color. Some bite to the flavor, with bitter grains. Very light, and very little flavor at all. Reminds me of Fat Tire.
