Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color with thick fast accuating head, very reactive with lots of carbonation. Sweet wheat and hoppy aroma. The flavor was sour and bitter at first but subsided to a mellow sweet malt.

Bottle. Very sour aroma. Cloudy red/brown colour. Small white head. Quite sour flavour, a little malty and spicy. Infected.

16oz bottle. Clear copper color with thin off white head. The aroma is on the light side with mostly sweet malts. Nice flavor. Starts off sweet then hops enter the picture almost midway. A rich caramel and slight fruitiness build right at the midpoint and recede into a grainy pale malt character. Tasty beer.

A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has light notes of metal and berries, as well as a slight acidity. The flavor is dominated by notes of berries, on an acidic back ground and with a dry bitter metallic end. This is certainly not an Oktoberfest by style, it seems much closer to a Flemish Sour Ale.

Thanks to Matta for this brew! I have a dilemma with this rate. The sample I got, I actually rated 7/4/5/2/10. But as many fine beers as I have had from this brewery and the 5 ratings already posted, convince me I had a bad bottle. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Had it had a decent number of ratngs, I wouldn’t have pulled my punches. This looked good at the pour, even the aroma was good, but it had a sourness in the flavor that wasn’t good and it went from start to finish. I’ll attempt to try this again sometime, I’m sure it will be worth seeking out. The first bad one I’ve had from them.
