Cask at King Willliam IV, Leyton. Poured a dark mahogany with a broken tan head. The aroma is a bit old England skanky and malty. The flavour is mild bitter smooth and with a fruity palate. If this beer had been around a few years back my father would probably not have been a bitter drinker!

Cask at King William. It pours deep mahogany brown with a small white head. The nose is wood, leather, some dark fruit, raisin and caramel. The taste is wood, leather, dust, dull caramel and raisin with a very dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Not much too it really. A bit of a disappointment from Brodies.

Cask at The Old Coffee House, London. Pours dark brown with a frothy, beige head. Nose holds some lightly tangy dark malts. Light sweet flavor, subtle earth, light ash, hints of tang. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat bland to finish, further notes of tangy, dark malts, background ash, wet wood. Might not be in the best shape.
