Bottle at home. Dark brown (but clear, I think) with thin creamy head. Sweet heavily roasted malts, powdery dry cacoa. Somewhere between licorice and leather, with a hint of ash. Stale and dry, non-sweet, moderate bitter. Very dry ("ash dry") yet very thin and watery. Under medium carbo. Not my kind of porter but can imagine I would enjoy this more at the bar in an English pub.

50cl Bottle from AH. Almost black colour, light beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, hint of coffee. Flavour is likewise, very light and mostly just carbonated water with a hint of roast. Light bodied. Weak. Guinness light. Nothing off, just really bland and fizzy.

Medium, greige head, not very stable, over deep reddish brown beer. Sweet black bread, sweet nuts, (sweet) gravy, breadcrust. Much less sweet than the nose suggested, but at the same time inconceivably watery. Bread(crust) flavour still quite present. Hardly anything else going on - a forgotten meaty ester, Ersatz coffee...? Feels very carbonated, cola-like CO². Watery and thin. Todays’ porters have some bite. This is coloured sparkling water.
