Bacchus Cherry Beer is brewed using Bacchus Flemish Old Brown as a base. This cherry beer surprises with a slight touch of caramel from the roasted malt. Bacchus Cherry Beer offers a beautiful balance between the aromas of ripe cherries and the sweet and sour of the base beer.

Bottiglia.

Sample thanks to Grumbo. Cheers mate! Pours a dark mahogany, thin persistent off-white ring circling the glass. Boiled cherry sweets, cola cubes and leather forming the bulk of the character here, not too sour like I recall from trying this years ago. Aged vinous notes. Seems to veer towards oud bruin territory rather than kriek. Still rather nice.

1/6/2024. Bottle at Prague GP beer share. Courtesy of ITFCfan from Tesco, Kesgrave. Pours very dark red brown with a frothy off-white head. Attractive pour. Aroma is cherry, cola cubes, cough medicine, tunes. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness, and some developing tartness. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Quite liked this.
