Seven is a nod to the great stouts brewed in 19th century London. Lots of roasted malt and grassy English hop character on the nose, followed by notes of bitter chocolate, toast, coffee, liquorice and dried fruit. Full bodied but dry, the powerful bitter finish just keeps going.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fergus. Pours deep brown with a dense, frothy tan head. The nose holds burnt toast, light wood, faint cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, a little smokey, with well roasted malts, coffee grounds, bitter earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Strong charred malt finish, some baking cocoa, some dark fruits. Nice depth. Good stuff.

Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Fine carbonation. Medium dark malts, smooth with a little roast. Bubblegum esters. Trace of dark fruits before a smooth dry finish. Smooth, drinkable but standard.
