Seven is a nod to the great stouts brewed in 19th century London. Lots of roasted malt and grassy English hop character on the nose, followed by notes of bitter chocolate, toast, coffee, liquorice and dried fruit. Full bodied but dry, the powerful bitter finish just keeps going.

Bottle from London Drinker 2015 and drunk at home. Dark brown beer lasting tan head. Yes a complex malty beer. Some would say a bit confused rather than complex. Dry malt, some chocolate. Some harsh bitter hop on the finish. Lots of brown dryish malt, yet slightly juicy still. Hmmmm. Bit tight on the carbonation. After time it settles down into a strong chocolate malty beer. Decent enough. Bit harsh on the finish though. Almost unpleasantly so.

Flavour is earthy smokey, ashy, nutty roast with a little ashy type thing going on. Not a big fan of this. Palate is medium light body, highish carbonation, tangy, ashy in the finish.
