650ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Rather cautious, roasty, chocolately, dark malty and minimally fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, coffee, fruity coffee beans, some cocoa and vanilla, whiffs of alcohol. Taste is roasty, chocolately dark malty, moderately bitter notes of coffee, mocha, dark chocolate, some vanilla, a touch of cocoa, subtle sweetness with a honey touch, rather explicit alcohol presence. Oily to viscous texture, super soft, smooth, silky and minimally sticky palate, gentle carbonation. Very well crafted, no doubt - sadly I can't take too much shine to the sort of coffee nor vanilla used here.

Big and black with a light brown head that goes whispy and creamy. Coffee aroma is dominant and like most coffee additive brews it’s the smell of old coffee grounds rather than a steaming cup that’s dominant. The somewhat dubious nature of that is tempered though by the rich vanilla and chocolate notes that linger in the background. Taste is bittersweet, roasted and bitterer at the end with lingering coffee and chocolate. Heavy, oily body, mild carbonation. Overall, quite nice, although by no means the top of its class. A nice one.

Good, but on the sweet side, and an unexpected salted butter heaviness underlining the massive espresso back end. Dark chocolate, anise, char, raisin, and molasses add solid stout base, but the brininess popping up on the finish is...weird, adding a melted butter slant to an otherwise pretty good coffee stout. Not bad, but one glass is plenty.
