The aroma is interesting combining gingerbread, chocolate, spices and a faint hint of vanilla. The beer is full bodied and has a sweetness that dries out towards the finish. The flavor has notes of dried figs, spicy mango with an undertone of tobacco from the cascabel chillies, dark chocolate, and vanilla.

On tap. Pours black with almost no head. Aromas of oily coffee, vanilla, light coconut and roasted malts. Rich toasty flavors follow same. Subtle roasted pepper. Yep, just a hint. Very nice.

Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours deep black-brown with a lasting, frothy tan head. Fun about, some creamy vanilla, marshmallows, gooey chocolate, coconut. Medium to big sweet flavour with more creamy chocolate, oily coconut, very faint chilli presence, some ripe berries. Medium to full bodied with creamy texture and fine carbonation. Finishes with light warmth, fluffy marshmallow, more coconut, chocolate sauce, ripe fruits, a little burnt wood, some smoked wood. Great beer overall.
